Today the Leila Naja Hibri, CEO of the Australian Fashion Council and Jess Scully, Deputy Mayor, Cnr of the City of Sydney launched the AFC FashTech Lab programme. Via this programme, that is supported by the City of Sydney, and through a series of business diagnostic workshops, capability pathway sessions and knowledge exchanges a select group of Australian fashion businesses will share, collaborate and pressure-test a 3D sampling solution designed to reduce environmental impact and drive sustainability.
The following fashion brands; Cue, Bianca Spender, Matteau, West14th, Eupheme, Ramp Tramp Tramp Stamp and Palasade will be guided through the Futuremap business diagnostic workshop developed in partnership with SME@UTS and Innovative Manufacturing CRC in preparation for the digital sampling workflow pilot that they will be undertaking over a period of 5 months. Style Atlas has been instrumental in developing a turnkey, digital sampling workflow that can be implemented by partner brands in a cost effective way that requires minimal business transformation. Style Atlas has collaborated with a group of innovative Australian tech partners including, Bandicoot Imaging, Couture CAD, Ponz Studio, Neuno and Ordre to create this digital sampling workflow. The aim of the workflow pilot is to create a case study that provides fashion brands both a business case and practical pathway to implement digital sampling in their business to save significant time, money and carbon.
